Role Summary
XFounders is seeking a proactive Business Developer to spearhead lead generation, build our scouting program, and drive startup onboarding for our accelerator programs. Reporting to Chief of Staff the  role focuses on sourcing high-potential startups, developing relationships within the Web3 and blockchain ecosystems, and creating scalable processes to expand XFounders’ impact.
You’ll play a critical role in building XFounders' scouting program, ensuring a pipeline of top-tier startups for our accelerators, and strengthening our ecosystem of founders, mentors, and investors.
Key Responsibilities
Scouting Program Development
  • Build and scale XFounders’ startup scouting program to consistently source top-tier startups for our accelerator.
  • Design workflows and processes to manage scouting operations effectively.
Lead Generation and Outreach
  • Source and attract promising startups as leads for the acceleration program.
  • Conduct cold outreach to engage startups and founders to join XFounders’ programs.
  • Maintain and optimize a structured pipeline for startup onboarding.
Sales and Deal Negotiation
  • Initiate conversations with startups and scouts and negotiate terms to onboard them successfully into XFounders programs.
  • Close contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for all parties.
Ecosystem Engagement
  • Develop relationships with Web3, blockchain, and tech startup communities, fostering partnerships and collaborations.
Metrics and Reporting
  • Track and analyze lead generation, outreach performance, and scouting program KPIs.
  • Provide detailed reports on pipeline progress and recommend strategies for improvement.

What We’re Looking For
Education and Experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, lead generation, or sales roles.
  • Proven success in cold outreach, lead generation, and closing contracts.
  • Familiarity with the Web3, blockchain, and startup ecosystem is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in sales tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management.
Soft Skills
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proactive, results-driven mindset with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
