Using a novel address-based encryption algorithm, the Celo protocol makes sending money as easy as sending a text. Additionally, Celo uses stable-value tokens pegged to fiat currencies, like the US Dollar, to minimize volatility. Celo is an open protocol enabling many to participate in the system, even with a budget Android smartphone.

cLabs is seeking a Smart Contracts Engineer to join our Contracts Team. As part of the contracts team you will help design and develop Celo’s core smart contracts and help develop best practices and processes to ensure those smart contracts are secure. This includes our governance, proof of stake, stability mechanisms, and the decentralized identity system.

You Will:

• Write production-level code in Solidity and Typescript
• Gather requirements from Engineering Partners and other key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Celo Validators, Celo Stakeholders) in order to determine and implement changes to our core primitives, including smart contracts and tooling.
• Collaborate with third party Smart Contract Auditors to ensure the quality assurance of the proposed changes as they go through our smart contract release process
• Work on releases end-to-end: from specifications, to design, ship and maintain.

You Have:

• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering primarily working in Javascript, Typescript.
• At least 1 - 2 years of experience in Solidity programming and using development frameworks like Foundry, Hardhat or viem.
• Prior experience in deploying complex smart contract systems to a public blockchain (e.g. Ethereum)
• Solid knowledge of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
• Passion for blockchain technology and Celo’s mission
• Experience working with cloud-based platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Hegemony Labs is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to develop a feature rich, intuitive user interface that effectively encompasses our automated trading protocol. Collaborating and clearly communicating with our development team to deliver a thoroughly tested and well-architected product is essential. We seek a self-motivated individual who is extremely detail-oriented, passionate about streamlining user experience, and able to adapt to the dynamics of a fast-paced startup environment. Requirements:

• 4-5 years of professional experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React & Nextjs
• Proven experience in frontend development with strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with blockchain libraries and tooling such as WAGMI and Ethers.js
• A strong track record of collaborating with designers to build sophisticated design systems
• Proven experience developing responsive, high-performance apps for both mobile and desktop platforms
• Strong web design sense and an understanding of user experience fundamentals.
• Fluency in English (both written and verbal).

Good to Have:

• Familiarity with the complete web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.
• Experience building Telegram integrated front ends and/or mini apps

Key Roles:

• Utilize web technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) to create MVPs and run experiments that validate ideas, iterating rapidly and adopting new tools as necessary.
• Development of user-facing applications that incorporate complex feature sets, including control panels for trade automation, position dashboards, trading strategy libraries, governance platforms, and various other sub menus.
• Work with the founding team to conceptually iterate, tailor fit, and troubleshoot the unique concepts, capabilities, and vision of the project within prototype front-ends.
• Plan and discuss with QA team to ensure optimal prioritization of bug fixes and feature additions.
• Keep detailed notes about issues, necessary updates, and key concepts presented during development meetings.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software.
• Introduce innovative ideas and technologies into our platform, driving continuous improvement.
• Ensure security, performance, and accessibility are built into the core of everything you develop.
• Guide the team on browser support, integration testing, and performance optimization.
• Mentor junior frontend developers on proven methodologies, best practices, and industry conventions.
