About Us
We are a dynamic hedge fund specializing in cryptocurrency arbitrage strategies. Our proprietary platform aggregates order books from centralized exchanges (CEXs) like Binance and decentralized exchanges (DEXs) like Uniswap to identify and execute high-frequency trading opportunities. We’re building a robust, scalable infrastructure to support our growing operations in the fast-paced crypto markets. If you’re passionate about low-latency systems, real-time data processing, and fintech innovation, join us to help shape the backbone of our trading engine.
Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Crypto Trading Infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core systems that power our arbitrage & market making framework. This role emphasizes infrastructure development, including data pipelines, integrations with exchanges, and scalable architectures. You’ll work closely with the fund’s leadership to implement reliable, high-performance solutions while ensuring security and efficiency. Note: Strategy development will be handled internally, so your focus will be on engineering excellence to support predefined trading logic.
This is a full-time position, remote-friendly, with competitive compensation including base salary, performance bonuses tied to fund success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure for real-time data aggregation from CEXs and DEXs, including WebSocket clients, API integrations, and order book processing.
- Build and optimize data storage and caching systems using technologies like Redis for high-speed access and SQL databases for trade logging and analytics.
- Develop messaging and communication layers (e.g., using ZMQ) to ensure seamless interaction between services in our Python-based framework.
- Enhance system reliability with fault-tolerant designs, error handling, monitoring, and alerting to minimize downtime in live trading environments.
- Scale the platform for increased volume, incorporating cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP) for deployment, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate on integrating new exchanges, protocols, or tools while maintaining code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and optimize for low-latency performance, security (e.g., API key management, encryption), and compliance in a regulated financial context.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing to support team growth.
- Build and maintain real-time portfolio performance monitoring dashboards using robust database infrastructure (eg. Google Studio, Grafana, others)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on backend development in high-stakes environments like fintech, trading platforms, or real-time systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries for data handling (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and asynchronous programming (e.g., asyncio).
- Hands-on experience with databases and caching (e.g., Redis, SQL/PostgreSQL) and messaging queues (e.g., ZMQ, Kafka, or RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with API integrations, WebSockets, and real-time data streams, ideally in crypto or financial markets.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) for building scalable infrastructure.
- Understanding of performance optimization, concurrency, and security best practices in distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cryptocurrency or DeFi ecosystems, such as building trading bots, DEX integrations (e.g., Web3.py, Uniswap APIs), or handling blockchain data.
- Background in low-latency trading systems, high-frequency trading (HFT), or arbitrage platforms.
- Familiarity with our tech stack elements (e.g., Redis-based clients, ZMQ messaging) or similar frameworks.
- Contributions to open-source projects or experience in regulated finance (e.g., SEC compliance basics).
- Strong English reading and writing communication skills
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and bonuses based on individual and fund performance.
- 20% of trading profits.
- Flexible remote work with occasional team meetups.
- Opportunities for professional development, including conferences and training in crypto/fintech.
- A collaborative culture where your infrastructure expertise directly impacts trading success.
