About you:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled 3D Software Engineerto join the team! You will focus on developing software that enables the creation, editing, rendering, and delivery of 3D avatars and 3D content into games through performant APIs. You will play a critical role in refining and amplifying our core technology, ensuring the best performance and look for our 3D avatars.

Your daily adventures will include:

• Enabling the creation, editing, rendering, and delivery of 3D avatars and content into games using performant APIs.
• Leveraging your expertise in constructing programmatic 3D or image processing pipelines.
• Collaborating with open-source 3D formats, especially glTF.
• Applying your deep knowledge of 3D concepts and optimization techniques.

What You Won't Need:

• A specific number of years of experience. Your ability to apply what you've learned to new challenges is what truly matters to us. We're not in a position to provide the support and mentorship a very junior developer needs (ex. fresh out of college or dev bootcamp), so you should have experience shipping production code.
• A formal education in computer science. We recognize the value of diverse educational backgrounds and learning paths. Our head of engineering, for example, doesn't have a computer science degree.

What You'll Do:

• Contribute to the development of our RedwoodJS-based web application, potentially setting the direction for this greenfield project.
• Assist in the management of our Postgres database and backend infrastructure.
• Contribute to our React Native and NextJS apps
• Engage in user feedback sessions to directly learn from our users and adapt our solutions to better meet their needs.
• Be involved in the hiring process for future engineering team members, helping us grow our team with talented individuals.
• Play a pivotal role in defining our engineering processes and culture.
