Early variants of onchain credit, such as Liquid Staking Tokens, Restaking Tokens and stablecoins are gaining formidable traction. This growth comes in the absence of appropriate risk management infrastructure.

There are no ways to hedge credit risks and we have seen large spikes of volatility and losses as a result. For this ecosystem to thrive, this layer has to be built out, similar to how there is a credit default swap ecosystem for the offchain credit market.

This is why we are building Depeg Swaps, a new primitive that enables you to hedge your pegged asset risk. It works by enabling you to swap a pegged asset 1:1 with a redemption asset (such as swapping steth → eth) through our peg stability module. Read our litepaper here for the full mechanism description. By joining our mission and helping grow this product, we can together help credit markets to become transparent, safe and accessible to all.

Our team is distributed across the US, Europe, and Asia. We are fostering a remote-first, developer-friendly culture. First, we look for candidates who will thrive in a culture like ours, where we default to trust, embrace feedback, and disrupt ourselves. Second, we expect all employees to commit to our mission-focused approach to our work. Most importantly, we seek people who are excited about crypto, because those are the folks who enjoy the intense moments in our sprint and recharge work culture. We’re a remote-first company looking to hire the absolute best talent all over the world.

Who you are:

  • You’ve got positive energy. You’re optimistic about the future and determined to get there.
  • You’re never tired of learning. You want to be a pro in bleeding edge tech like DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and Web 3.0.
  • You appreciate direct communication. You’re both an active communicator and an eager listener - because let’s face it, you can’t have one without the other. You’re cool with candid feedback and see every setback as an opportunity to grow.
  • You can pivot on the fly. Crypto is constantly evolving, so our priorities do, too. What you worked on last month may not be what you work on today, and that excites you. You’re not looking for a boring job.
  • You have a “can do” attitude. Our teams create high-quality work on quick timelines. Owning a problem doesn’t scare you, but rather empowers you to take 100% responsibility for achieving our mission.
  • You want to be part of a winning team. We’re stronger together, and you’re a person who embraces being pushed out of your comfort zone.

The team builds UI components for mobile and web in TypeScript and based on React and React Native. We use Linaria for styling, Percy for visual regression testing, Storybook for developing and testing components in isolation, Docusaurus for our documentation, etc. We integrate heavily with Figma to make the designer/developer collaboration smoother.

Developer Experience (DevX) is responsible for making sure all engineers at Coinbase build high-quality products while being productive and engaged. We do this by providing infrastructure, libraries, frameworks, and tooling to make it easier and faster to build high quality applications.Within Developer Experience, we organize into “pods” that focus on different specializations.

The “UI Systems” guild builds a state-of-the-art design system and tooling to guide engineers towards building high quality, consistent, delightful, and accessible UIs for both web and mobile.

What we look for in you:

  • You have at least 2+ years of experience in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern, component-based JS frameworks like React.
  • You've developed and shipped user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks.
  • You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability.
  • You’re familiar with product and design lifecycles, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
  • You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with AI, Codegen, ML, Figma
  • Experience building Design Systems (look for keywords such as React, CSS, CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, Linaria, Storybook, etc.). Experience with UI animation (Lottie, Rive). Experience with tools for design, accessibility or visual regression testing (Figma, Framer, Percy, BrowerStack). Experience with React Native, or from companies known to use React Native (Meta, Microsoft, Shopify, Discord, Expo).

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Flow is a remote-first team of seasoned technologists dedicated to our mission of mainstream Web3 adoption. Founded in Vancouver, Canada, Flow’s team is now spread primarily across the US and Canada – with small presences in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Less than 6 months from now, Flow delivers Crescendo, its biggest technical upgrade since launching the network. Included in the Crescendo release is Cadence 1.0, a major upgrade of the Cadence programming language which enables fully immutable smart contracts on Flow; as well as full EVM equivalence, allowing Flow to host EVM-based smart contracts, platforms, tooling, and utilities natively and fully composable with the Cadence environments. With Crescendo, Flow will be as easy to deploy onto as any EVM-based Layer 2, while preserving the full capabilities of the rest of the protocol. Crescendo upgrade will catalyze a massive improvement in liquidity on Flow including on- and off-ramps as well as a native DeFi ecosystem that serves as a liquidity backbone for the entire network.
At Flow Foundation, we prioritize recruiting top talent and cultivating an empowering environment for our team. This entails fostering a workplace that is characterized by diversity, inclusivity, and open-mindedness. We enthusiastically welcome applicants from all walks of life, regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
