As a Platform Engineer, you must be able to work in an ambiguous environment with an optimistic attitude, that can easily (and happily) wear many hats. You are able to uphold our company’s principles and values while adding to our unique culture. As a member of our Team, you will broadly be responsible for working collaboratively with team members and partners across projects. • Possesses good knowledge of security as it relates to bare metal and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • We are not just looking for someone who can configure an existing cloud solution, but we are looking for someone who can build the infrastructure underlying a cloud.
  • We expect candidates to know one programming language in addition to Bash, and we test for this with a coding interview. We don’t expect you to be a seasoned software engineer, but we do expect you to be comfortable writing small programs. Popularly used languages at Chorus One are Python, Golang and Rust.
  • Is able to work independently, with a high level of ambiguity and undefined requirements.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related subject is a plus, but not strictly needed.

*How to Know If You’re the Right Fit

If you live for deep, mind-bending problems and take pride in building both slick frontends and rock-solid backends, keep reading. We’re looking for engineers who don’t just code—they innovate. Those who own their projects from end to end and constantly push for better performance, better architectures, better everything.

Why This Role Is Exciting

  • Work with A-Players: Our engineering and research teams are some of the best in the space—prepare to level up by collaborating with them daily.
  • Big Impact, Big Ownership: You’ll architect, build, and deploy systems that could redefine how people experience blockchain products.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech: You won’t be stuck with legacy systems—expect a steady flow of new protocols, frameworks, and (optional) AI integrations to keep things fresh.
  • Collaborative Culture: We take our work seriously—but we also believe in having fun, sharing memes, and celebrating each other’s wins.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Fullstack Wizardry

  • Frontend Mastery: Craft high-performance, modern React (or similar) applications that delight users and scale smoothly.
  • Backend Engineering: Design APIs (REST or GraphQL), optimize database interactions (SQL/NoSQL) and build robust cloud-native services.

2. Deep System & Algorithmic Design

  • Architect for Scale: Sketch out microservices, data pipelines, and other high-availability solutions that can grow with our user base.
  • Optimize & Refine: Spot performance bottlenecks and kill them before they kill us.

3. Leadership & Collaboration

  • Code Reviews & Mentorship: Uphold high standards by giving and receiving thoughtful, constructive feedback.
  • Cross-Functional Input: Work closely with product, design, and DevOps to ensure seamless rollouts and robust production systems.
  • Innovation at the Core: Research emerging tech—especially blockchain protocols and AI—and propose how we can wield them.

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Experiment & Iterate: Pilot new tools, frameworks, or processes. If it makes us better, let’s do it.
  • Own It End-to-End: From the first line of code to the final deploy, you’re responsible for delivering secure, stable, and high-quality solutions.

What We’re Looking For

1. Proven Experience

  • Multiple Years in professional software development. You’ve tackled complex, large-scale projects and thrived.
  • Fullstack Expertise: From writing impeccable React components to designing backends in Node.js, GO, Rust or Python.

2. Technical Chops

  • System Design & Architecture: You know how to build services that won’t break under pressure—microservices, caching strategies, database sharding, you name it.
  • Performance Focus: Terms like “high throughput” and “low latency” aren’t just buzzwords to you; they’re part of your daily vocabulary.
  • Best Practices: You never skip tests, you don’t do “quick hacks,” and you treat CI/CD pipelines like your best friend.

3. Mindset & Soft Skills

  • Ownership & Drive: You see problems and can’t help but fix them.
  • Team Player: You communicate clearly, listen actively, and love a good brainstorming session.
  • Always Growing: You stay up-to-date with tech trends and are curious about areas like blockchain, AI or Quantum computing.

Bonus Points For

  • Blockchain Know-How: Familiarity with smart contracts, DeFi protocols, or web3 libraries.
  • AI Curiosity: Even if it’s just side projects or tinkering with AI agents, we love that forward-thinking spirit.
  • Small Team Leadership: If you’ve led a tight-knit group of devs, share those stories!

What’s in It for You

  • Serious Impact: Your code and ideas will shape next-gen decentralized solutions used by an ever-growing community.
  • Learning on Steroids: Our projects span everything from cutting-edge blockchains to AI enhancements—there’s always something new to dive into.
  • Flexible & Remote: We trust you to do your best work from wherever you are, on your own schedule.
  • Top-Notch Compensation: We offer a competitive salary + potential for equity—because top talent deserves top rewards.

Ready to Raise the Bar?

We’re not after a flood of CVs. We want the CV—one that demonstrates a passion for solving tough problems, building epic fullstack solutions, and pushing boundaries. If you’re that person, we can’t wait to talk.
