We believe in a world where every organization, from a small startup to a large enterprise, will be tokenized and traded onchain. For this world, Arrakis is building the tools to create the necessary liquidity to enable this token economy to rival and out-compete the traditional financial industry.

DeFi is at risk itself of being overcome by centralised actors however. As Ethereum’s DeFi ecosystem has become more complex, sophisticated actors have extracted more and more value known as MEV. Arrakis is working on next generation solutions at the speartip of the MEV supply chain, such as HOT AMM, to protect LPs and token issuers against this value extraction.

The role

As one of the Front End engineers at Arrakis, we’re looking for someone who is hands on but also has strong product thinking skills. Although shipping is important, this role entails more than writing lines of code. You’ll be involved in discovery work and ensuring that we build user-centred solutions that can scale.

What things will look like:

  • You’ll be deeply involved in crafting delightful user experiences.
  • You’ll play an instrumental role in architecting our systems, working with our current FE engineer, CTO (co-founder), back end engineers, smart contract developers and product manager.
  • You’ll be heavily involved in product discovery work.
  • We prioritise learning and shipping. We keep processes minimal.
  • You won’t burn time in pointless meetings. We run a planning call on Mondays and do demos on Fridays. We have ad hoc working sessions and do daily async written updates.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in React and Next.js ecosystems
  • Hands on experience with Web3 technologies (wagmi, viem, Rainbowkit)
  • Extensive experience with ReactQuery for efficient data fetching and state management
  • Advanced knowledge of Typescript, including complex type definitions and best practices
  • Expertise in modern CSS frameworks, particularly Tailwind CSS
  • Demonstrated experience in monorepo architecture and management
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience implementing robust pipelines

Technologies we use and teach:

  • React.js, Vue.js, Web3 Tooling, Typescript, GraphQl, NodeJS

Benefits

Join a small yet mighty team of industry veterans focused on revolutionizing crypto market making, collaborating with major projects like MakerDAO, Uniswap, Aave, Lido. You’ll work fully remotely with members spanning Zug, London, Paris, New York, Berlin, and San Francisco. Arrakis is backed by world-class investors including Uniswap Labs, Robot Ventures, Accel, Longhash, and more.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • SPICE token package
  • Remote work
  • Join amazing quarterly in-person offsites all over the world

The liquidity must flow…
