What we are Doing:

We are building derivative infrastructure to enable Ethereum to transform into the Internet Bond via delta-neutral derivatives positions, to create the first crypto-native, yield bearing synthetic dollar: sUSDe.

We believe creating a synthetic dollar which is not reliant on existing banking infrastructure is the single most important problem to solve and largest opportunity in crypto today.

USDe will form the first part of a broader ecosystem of products we are building including fixed and floating rate internet bonds and composable repo leveraged markets.

The Team:

We are a small team of 16, 8 of which are engineers.  Collectively our DNA, so far, is a strong mix of high performing Web3 and Tradfi experience including, Wintermute, Blockdaemon, Capital One, Flowtraders, Bebop, SIX, Aave. The team is geographically distributed but connects daily and everyone has distinct responsibilities.  We take engineer onboarding seriously and will provide all the support you need to get up and running. We are collaborative, lean and thrive on the mission to bring such a disruptive product to market as USDe, the Internet Bond and the further supporting elements of this new ecosystem.

Who We are Looking For:

• An Engineer who is passionate about building products/applications within Defi.
• Individual who is excited by the opportunity to join a founding core team and drive a product from zero to one.
• At least 2 years of experience in developing front-ends for decentralized applications and can provide examples of prior work.
• An individual who is curious and always looking to learn new concepts on the overlap between frontier technology and financial concepts.

Responsibilities:

• You will work on our React Web3 application, which enables users to mint and stake USDe, as well as our off-chain backend python infrastructure which listens for events, manages custody positions, routes orders, etc.
• Working directly with custody and exchange providers to build information on the ongoing solvency and equity positions of internal accounts.
• Creative license to push the boundaries of Defi design.
• Collaborate with the team and cross-functional partners on all aspects of product development including smart contract back-end engineers and mentor team members to refine their technical and architectural skills

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of full-stack, modern Javascript: React and Typescript
• Strong Python skills
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience working with GraphQL
• Experience with our frameworks - NextJS and TailwindCSS.
• A strong design sense including attention to detail matching a design in frontend implementation as well as good design judgment and ability to operate without a fully fleshed out design
• Expert knowledge of Web3 libraries and tools like, Viem, Wagmi, The Graph
• Understanding of concepts like caching, edge functions, RPC providers that are critical to performant frontend development in Web3.

Key responsibilities

The core technical objective is twofold: shipping B2B use-cases in the coming months, then expanding that a permissionless mainnet blockchain with 24 months. You can expect:

• At first working on a Cosmos SDK app written in Go, augmenting it with verifiers for various ZK proving schemes (those mostly written in rust).
• Exporting the implications of our new architecture by writing our own apps
• Bridging the state of the chain to/from other networks such as Ethereum

The role

The L2 Lead Developer at Status Network will be responsible for the comprehensive deployment and ongoing operation of this new zkEVM L2 rollup. DevOps is a buzzword, but it’s also generic enough to encompass the breadth of tasks required in supporting development teams. Supporting developers involves debugging obscure bash scripts from years ago that nobody remembers. Key responsibilities:

• Design, implement and document Waku nim libraries and node (nwaku)
• Collaborate and support the Research team with the implementation of new protocols
• Investigate and fix issues in nwaku and upstream libraries such as nim-libp2p
• Maintain an array of bindings and wrappers over the nim library to enable usage of Waku in other languages (Rust, NodeJS, Golang)
• Optimize nwaku and upstream libraries for usage on various environments (VPS, laptop, mobile, Raspberry Pi)

You ideally will have:

Waku enables a variety of complex use cases and applications. To facilitate the adoption of Waku, you will design and implement application protocols to provide to dapp developers as off-the-shelf SDKs.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, design and enhance secure and reliable chat protocols over Waku, a gossipsub-based decentralized communication network.
• Collaborate with researchers using protocol RFCs as a medium, implement protocol PoCs, then proceed with integration in the main library, and collaborate with QA for extensive testing.
• Liaise with internal consumers of the chat library, understand usage and requirements and UX impacts of design, support with any issue encountered.
• Liaise with Waku protocol engineers to report bugs, stay informed of new functionalities and provide feedback on Waku protocols and implementations.
• Enable the testing of the existing chat functionalities (present in a larger library), by building binaries that can be used for test automation and extract said functionalities in a separate library.

You ideally will have

• Have experience building applications with complex logic, cutting-edge technology or applied research.
• Experience with Golang or other system/backend languages such as C/C++/C#/Java/Rust, etc.
• Have experience building and designing instant messaging and chat protocols that include cryptography such as end-to-end encryption.
