About the team

The DevEx team works across the entire Polkadot ecosystem to improve developer workflows, tooling, and documentation. We own the experience of developers—from first contact with a template, guide, or CLI, to advanced tooling used in production.

About the Position

  • Design and implement CLI tools, templates, SDKs, and onboarding flows.

  • Improve and maintain documentation and developer portals.

  • Write code samples, example projects, integration demos (Rust, TypeScript, Solidity).

  • Contribute to better CI/CD setups for devs building with Substrate and Polkadot SDK.

  • Engage with developer teams, answer deep technical questions, gather feedback.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.

  • Participate in events and hackathons, acting as an ambassador for great DevEx.

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in Rust, 2+ years in TypeScript.

  • A bias toward automation, quality, and clarity.

  • Enthusiasm for open source, hackathons, and building things developers love.

  • Strong communicator and collaborator; experienced in working across product, engineering, and leadership teams.

  • Comfortable running internal discovery efforts and aligning technical direction with business goals.

  • Deep understanding of developer workflows  from onboarding to CI/CD to debugging.
