About the role

We are seeking a Blockchain Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the robustness and operational integrity of the Omni networks and blockchains around the clock. This role is crucial for maintaining the performance and reliability of our services as we scale.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the Omni platform’s infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability.
• Implement automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and scaling within the cloud environment.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, including regular testing and updating procedures.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence.
• Manage on-call rotations for 24/7 incident response and resolution.
• Continuously improve system security postures and compliance protocols.
• Document system design and operational procedures.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or similar roles with a focus on 24/7 uptime.
• 1+ years of experience managing blockchain infrastructure: running full nodes, supporting public RPC endpoints, ensuring network security and monitoring network performance.
• Proficient with cloud services such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Experience with automation and scripting using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes and Ansible.
• Strong background in monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
• Ability to handle on-call responsibilities reliably and effectively.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Location: Must be in the New York (EST) or Europe (CET) time zones.
• Overlap hours: Available daily from 9 AM to 12 PM EST for team collaboration.

Department environment

We aim to achieve a balance between corporate culture and start-up culture, and at the same time be close to product solutions. Therefore, we divide our department into small self-sufficient teams that can make decisions on their own. This applies to all stages of product production: from conceptualisation to architecture, to build, to release, to iteration and support.

The team is currently working on several major product changes that will improve client experience with cryptocurrency interaction like secure cryptocurrencies management or simplifying user flows when interacting with Decentralised Finance (DeFi) protocols.

Role Responsibilities

• Support and improve current services that handle over 50 blockchain protocols with more than 500 cryptocurrency assets.
• Research and building new blockchain integration and solutions, including blockchain data processing, cryptocurrency protocols integrations, DeFi integration, etc.
• Support and solve problems from clients and stakeholders.

Your experience, skills and knowledge

• Professional experience in building software with an OOP language: Scala, JS/TS (Node.js), Kotlin, Java, or Go.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• An understanding of the critical importance of unit tests, well-versed and able to build automated tests of server-side code.
• You’re professionally curious and willing to develop yourself as a multi-stack developer. You are ready that you should research and use technologies and programming languages that you didn’t face before.

Desirable

• Proficiency with containerisation and DevOps practices.
• Experience developing Smart Contracts.
• Familiarity with working on blockchain development (cryptocurrency wallets, blockchain data processing, DeFi etc).
• Experience in building and optimising systems for working with large amounts of data, both at the database level and interactions between services.

Dash Platform is a technology stack for building decentralized web3 applications on the Dash network with experience compared to the usual web. The two main architectural components, Drive and DAPI, allow developers to register identities and store application state on-chain using HTTP-based API.

Role

We are looking for a senior software developer responsible for the development and maintenance of Tenderdash (a fork of Tendermint), the BFT consensus engine of Dash Platform.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing, testing, debugging, and improving multi-threaded, distributed asynchronous protocols.
• Profiling, managing, and analyzing metrics to optimize the performance of an L2 blockchain network.
• Identifying issues across various software components. As you get more familiar with our project, you may also contribute to other Dash Platform components, blockchain, and consensus libraries. You will collaborate with engineers and developers in the Dash Platform team to create new Open Source products in an Agile environment. This role presents an opportunity to work with an innovative cryptocurrency team and influence the way people interact with their money.

Responsibilities in details:

• Implement new features, maintain, improve, troubleshoot and document open-source Tenderdash consensus engine
• Contribute to the open-source development of Dash Platform components and libraries
• Discover and eliminate bugs, race conditions. Increase code test coverage

• Expertise in advanced observability (USE-RED signals, Tracing, front end observability etc) and monitoring stacks, preferably Grafana stack.
• Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.
• Extensive experience in supporting production systems as SRE.
• Experience in setting up monitoring stack for process and docker based environments.
