About the Role

About the Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Grove Labs, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of the next generation of onchain DeFi experiences. You’ll be in charge of shipping a suite of products that can scale to millions of users on top of infrastructure that is safely and efficiently processing transactions worth billions in underlying value. You will join a small but ambitious team with a wide range of responsibilities who are working to solve some of DeFi and TradFi’s most challenging problems. What You’ll Do

• Designing and developing new user-facing onchain experiences that push the frontier of tokenized assets, DeFi, and institutional adoption of crypto.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in TypeScript, React, NextJS, Tailwind, and TanStack Query (e.g. T3 stack) as well as Python and SQL.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in developing decentralized applications, ideally with another
• DeFi Protocol with a large user base. Ideally strong familiarity with web3 programming and using EVM-based tooling like, Foundry, Tenderly, etc.
• Expertise in Node.js, Python, Go, or similar on the backend, with a proven track record of building scalable REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience deploying applications across multiple regions using cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, VPC networking, telemetry and monitoring.
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (Argo CD).
• Basic to intermediate familiarity with smart contracts, Ethereum, EVM-based chains, or other relevant blockchain technologies.
• Proven expertise in relational database management using PostgreSQL, including designing robust data schemas, optimizing SQL queries, and constructing scalable data pipelines.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, focused on implementing robust encryption, authentication, and authorization protocols (e.g., OAuth2, JWT).
• Practical experience with various DeFi protocols (e.g., lending, derivatives, AMMs, stablecoins) and an ability to design and implement complex financial logic on-chain.
• Knowledge of tokenization platforms, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155).
• Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong emphasis on understanding the “why” behind requirements and commitment defining the “minimum scope”.

About Oku

At Oku, we aim to close the gap between the CeFi and DeFi trading experiences. It is no mistake that 95% of crypto trading occurs on centralized platforms like Binance and Coinbase since their organizations have spent substantially more time and resources investing in their trading interface, while DeFi has primarily been focused on infrastructure and protocols for the last several years.

However, that is going to change soon. While CeFi organizations enjoy their Web2 stack, a Web3 company like Oku can leverage the composability of the DeFi ecosystem and blockchain technology to offer a high-quality trading experience that will eventually be indistinguishable from CeFi and, in the long run, overcome their legacy systems. That is why Oku has 50+ partners in or supporting the app.

Oku initially started as a project within GFX Labs after they received a $1.6M grant from the Uniswap Foundation in October 2022 to build and launch a reimagined trading interface, analytics platform, and API for Uniswap v3. After ten months of development, Oku launched in July 2023, and since then, Oku has supported the DAO Uniswap’s efforts to expand across new blockchains.

Today, our primary feature is our smart order routing system, which integrates 12+ order routing systems to ensure all users find the best price possible. We have also adapted our order routing technology to offer a bridge aggregator with 11+ integrated bridges. Most recently, to close the CeFi/DeFi gap further, we added on/off-ramping with USD and EURO to our interface at an industry-low fee of free! Our other popular features include trustless onchain limit orders built directly on Uniswap v3, our position manager page for users who want to manage their LP positions, and our Uniswap v3 analytics.

Over the coming years, Oku will be expanding the scope of our offering and improving the quality of our user experience.

About the role
