We’re looking for an incredible Developer Relations Engineer to be the primary technical point of contact for developers building on Caldera chains.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has experience in both technical communication and blockchain technology, particularly those who have worked with rollups and scaling solutions.
If you’re looking to work in a fast-paced, high-impact team and help shape the developer experience of our product, this position is for you.
We’re backed by some of the best investors in the valley and offer competitive pay, equity, and full benefits.
Caldera enables dynamic, scalable blockchain experiences. Currently, dapps deployed to general-purpose blockchains compete with thousands of other applications for space on the network. This can lead to congestion, high fees, or even network outages.
That’s where we come in. We’re building software that makes it easy for the most innovative blockchain applications to launch their own ultra-performant blockchains (rollups), enabling applications to own their ecosystem, scale to millions of users, and provide a superior user experience to their players.
We’re located in San Francisco and New York, and work in-person or remotely.
As a Developer Relations Engineer at Caldera, you will:

You’ll travel to conferences and hackathons to meet builders
You’ll organize events (online and irl) to bring builders together
You’ll develop educational content (blog posts, instructional videos) to teach developers how to benefit from Monad
You’ll build relationships with other crypto communities, incubators, and university groups. We’ll collaborate through projects like hackathons or events
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
Prior experience building developer communities
Excellent knowledge of Solidity and Typescript; strong knowledge of what it takes to ship a dapp
Public speaking/teaching experience
Technical writing experience
Low ego
Independence
Organizational skills
Extremely strong work ethic
A desire to bring people together
Enthusiasm for Monad’s mission of helping decentralization scale
Experience starting a DevRel program from scratch
Experience in early-stage startups
Existing relationships with builder communities, incubators, or university blockchain groups
Challenging problems. You’ll work on extremely challenging problems with massive impact.
Huge opportunity. The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) standard is ubiquitous, but existing EVM-compatible chains are slow and bandwidth-constrained. Monad’s core innovations offer developers the best of both worlds (portability and performance) and are a game-changer for mass user adoption in crypto.
The right team. You’ll be part of an exceptional and highly-motivated team
Culture. We’re a lean team working together to achieve very ambitious goals. We are united in our culture of collaboration, low ego, and high-quality output. As an early member of our team, you’ll help continue to shape our culture.
