Your Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Developer Relations Engineer to become a key member of our team. As part of the Engineering team, you will be instrumental in driving the adoption of our Layer 2 solutions by contributing to the ecosystem with workshops, technical contents and building meaningful relationships with developers. At the same time you will be supporting the foundation departments when it comes down to their technical needs. If you stay up-to-date with the latest developments in blockchain technology, particularly in the Ethereum ecosystem and you have a genuine passion for collaborating with developers, we would love to connect with you.

Your Responsibilities

• Developer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, both within and outside the Arbitrum community. Act as a key point of contact for technical inquiries and support.
• Advocacy and Community building: Serve as a passionate advocate for Arbitrum by developing and executing strategies to grow and nurture a vibrant developer community around Arbitrum. Organise meetups, webinars, workshops, and other events to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Contributing: Create and maintain technical documentation, tutorials, and contribute to the open source ecosystem to help developers integrate with Arbitrum seamlessly. Deliver educational content through various channels.
• Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from developers and relay it to our product and engineering teams. Advocate for developers’ needs and priorities within the organisation.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the internal cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and engineering, to align developer outreach with our strategic goals.
• Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyse developer engagement metrics to measure the impact of developer relations efforts. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies.
• Assess leads (e.g. grant proposals, product requirement documents, etc)  from a technical standpoint, focusing on the technical team capabilities, architecture and source code and the timeline credibility.
• Contributing back to the ecosystem via open source contributions or the production of other educational materials

What You’ll Need

• You are fluent in one or more general-purpose languages (e.g. Typescript, Python, Go, Rust, Java, etc)
• Fundamentals of Solidity
• Deep understanding of blockchain technology and EVM solutions.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Bachelor in computer science or equivalent work experience

Nice to have

• Prior experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or a related role in the tech industry, within the blockchain or cryptocurrency space.
• Demonstrated experience in community building and engagement.
• Prior commercial experience with Solidity
• Exposure to Rust
• Open-source contributor on the EVM space

Genies is building the next generation of gamified, immersive experiences powered by AI avatars and UGC. Our mission is to empower developers and creators with tools to build personalized, intelligent, and expressive experiences using Genies' Avatar Framework and UGC tools. As we gear up to launch our developer platform publicly and roll out integrations with Unity later this year, we’re hiring a Developer Relations Manager to help drive our external developer initiatives, test and evolve our tools, and support the next wave of creators building in the Genies ecosystem. Drive external developer engagement: Build and cultivate a high-impact developer evangelist program to drive adoption of Genies’ developer and UGC tools. Be the face of Genies to developers and creators: Represent Genies at conferences, meetups, livestreams, and online communities to support and inspire the next wave of creators. Support Genies x Unity partnership roadmap: Collaborate with game developers and internal Unity teams as we launch our Unity integration - including tooling walkthroughs, onboarding support, and live feedback sessions. Craft accurate and engaging technical documentation for the Aztec tech stack (SDK, APIs, infrastructure, zk-SNARK circuits) that supports developers building on our platform. Write technical blog posts, guides, tutorials, and partner content that bridges engineering depth with marketing clarity. Collaborate with engineering and developer relations teams to create onboarding materials, FAQs, and integration guides that help developers get started and go deep. About you:

Experience working with Ethereum or similar blockchain ecosystems is strongly preferred.
