We are looking for innovative, curious, and collaborative engineers who are passionate about building and maintaining customer-facing applications and solving complex problems. As part of the Loan Originations Engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our lending technology. What You’ll Do
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other Engineering teams, Data Engineering, Product, Business, and Leadership, to develop and maintain our loan origination systems. Integrate with third parties to further Figure’s capabilities to underwrite loans. Analyze and optimize loan origination technology, from backend performance to FE user experience and everything in between. Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and help mentor junior engineers on the team. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, and advocate for their adoption when they align with our strategic goals.
What We Look For
Team player with a proactive attitude and a passion for solving complex problems. BS/BA or greater in Computer Science or a related field. 2+ years of software engineering experience. Experience programming in Kotlin, Java, or similar object oriented programming languages. Familiarity with backend databases, primarily PostgreSQL. Ability to work independently and ask questions to resolve blockers effectively. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Our Tech Stack While proficiency in our tech stack is a plus, those comfortable with similar stacks are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with backend technologies, including Kotlin, SpringBoot, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Google Cloud Platform, and Kubernetes, are desirable. Frontend proficiencies in React, React Query, Typescript or JavaScript, Tailwind, and Vite are a plus.
Salary
Compensation Range: $102,960 - $128,700 Quarterly 25% bonus target Equity stock options package This is the compensation range for the United States, actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needs
