What you will do

WordPress and Marketing Tech Specialists are responsible for managing and optimizing all marketing technology platforms, analytics tools, email marketing, and most of all our WordPress website:

  • Oversee the operation and updates of the WordPress website.
  • Create custom WordPress block theme with full site editing. 
  • Create custom WordPress plugins.
  • Implement new features and troubleshoot issues on the WordPress website.
  • Stay updated on trends in marketing tech and WordPress.
  • Implement and manage marketing software and tools.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to marketing tools.
  • Ensure data integration across various marketing platforms.
  • Analyze marketing data to optimize campaigns and provide actionable insights.
  • Work with the marketing team to align technology solutions with marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments on tool implementation.
  • Train marketing team members on technology use.
  • Handle other administrative tasks as needed.

Required skills

  • Experience in maintain and update WordPress websites.
  • Experience in creating custom block themes with full site editing. 
  • Experience in creating custom WordPress plugins.
  • Understanding of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
  • Experience with marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, email marketing platforms).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiastic cryptocurrency user.

Must live within the timezone range of GMT +/-0 to GMT +10 (Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia).

Pay and conditions

The position is full-time ongoing. You will work remotely wherever you like on any days of the week and any time of the day you like. Your colleagues will work in a similar time zone. You will report to the Principal Engineer in a team of around 6 Software Developers.

There is a clear path for career progression with the next steps being full stack Software Engineer and Principal Engineer as well as other opportunities as the company grows.

Compensation will be a top of market salary. You can be hired directly and payed in cryptocurrency or you can be hired by deel.com as a local employer of record with pay in your local currency, standard compliant local benefits, holidays and payslips including compulsory deductions and retirement account contributions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers to understand their workflow, challenges, and requirements, and provide technical solutions to improve their research productivity

Skill Set and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years experience working in close partnership with quantitative researchers to develop, deploy and maintain quantitatively-driven alpha strategies.Previous experience at a quantitative hedge fund is strongly preferred.
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong Python programming skills, with a focus on building scalable and efficient systems
  • Proficiency in data processing, analysis, and visualization tools, libraries, and frameworks
  • Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and their practical applications in quantitative research
  • Experience with AWS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design practical solutions to complex research challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and translate research requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience in recruiting, mentoring, and guiding junior team members is preferred
