About the RoleWe are looking for a highly proactive, independent, and experienced Senior Shopify Developer to join our team. This role requires someone who can take full ownership of Shopify development, working autonomously to build, optimize, and maintain our e-commerce platform. You will collaborate closely with the marketing and operations teams but will be the sole developer, so strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential. Key Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes and features using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Optimize site performance and speed, implementing best practices for loading times and responsiveness. Integrate third-party tools for analytics, A/B testing, and marketing automation. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and independently. Work closely with the UX Designer to ensure seamless design implementation. Implement and monitor A/B testing experiments to improve conversion rates. Maintain a well-structured and optimized Shopify backend for reliability and scalability. Potential to lead and expand a development team in the future.
Skills & Experience Required
6+ years of Shopify development experience, with expertise in Shopify Liquid and front-end development. Strong understanding of Shopify’s ecosystem, APIs, and custom app integrations. Experience in performance optimization (reducing render-blocking resources, lazy loading, etc.). Proven ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of Shopify development. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with A/B testing, analytics tools, and data-driven decision-making. Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) – clear communication is a must. Understanding of e-commerce KPIs and conversion rate optimization.
Nice-to-Have
Experience working with Shopify Plus. Background in e-commerce marketing and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization). Familiarity with headless Shopify or custom app development.
